The Latin Percussion LP806Z-AW conga is part of a series designed with Giovanni Hidalgo to produce an instrument capable of projecting without losing heat.
The 3-ply North American ash body provides even rigidity for a solid bass and dense mid-range. The result is a versatile conga, equally suited to accompaniment and intermediate solos.
Comfort Extended Curve II hoops widen the contact surface and reduce hand fatigue during repeated strokes. The 3/8" tie rods work with the 3-point Galaxy side plates to maintain stable tension, even under heavy use.
Hand-selected natural skin produces a rich response with controlled overtones, making it easier to shape nuances. You benefit from easy-to-use classical tuning, which comes in handy when you're regularly adjusting the tone for different ensembles.
ProCare guards protect the wood from repeated impacts when the conga is set down or moved on stage. Chrome-plated hardware adds rigidity while maintaining a clean, pro-level aesthetic.
