The Latin Percussion LP807Z-AW conga features a wide 3-ply North American ash body for deep bass and generous resonance to support the fullest patterns. The 3/8" tie rods and reinforced Galaxy side plates stabilise tension even when you're playing at high volume. Comfort Extended Curve II hoops and natural skin provide a smooth, accurate response.

The Latin Percussion LP807Z-AW conga is part of a series developed with Giovanni Hidalgo to produce instruments capable of projecting a wide range of nuances.
The 3-ply North American ash body provides a controlled rigidity that reinforces the depth of the low register typical of the tumba. This width provides a rhythmic support that is very useful when space needs to be filled in an Afro-Cuban or fusion ensemble.
Comfort Extended Curve II hoops widen the contact area to keep the feel comfortable even during long sessions. The 3/8" tie rods work with the Galaxy 3-point plates to maintain even tension during intensive playing.
The selected natural skin produces stable harmonics and a smooth transition between open tones, basses and slaps. You can easily adjust the tuning thanks to the classic system, which comes in handy when adapting the tone to different formations.
