Inspired by the most coveted Battle decks, the mixer section follows the format of the DJM-S7 and incorporates a MagVel Fader Pro crossfader. This little gem, already tried and tested on the DJM-S11, has accompanied the sets of numerous turntablists. Smooth and robust, it can take the harshest cuts without faltering, giving you surgical precision at every cut. Unlike a conventional fader, its design limits wear to prolong its life and maintain constant glide.

The 16 backlit pads open up an infinite playground: Hotcue, Sampler, Pitch Play, Scratch Bank or Slicer Loop... you switch from one mode to another as if you were changing colours on your palette. Each press triggers an immediate reaction, and you get that feeling of total control that turns your set into a performance. During an evening spent exploring these combinations, you rediscover tracks you thought you knew by heart, and suddenly they take on a new dimension.

The 3.5" colour LCD screens, integrated into the centre of the jogs, display waveforms, BPM and navigation info without you having to look away. This proximity between your gesture and the information changes everything: you stay connected to the audience, focused on the rhythm, with visual feedback always in the right place. It's like having a miniaturised co-pilot in every jog.

As for effects, the list is generous: 22 Beat FX including Duck Down, Helix Out and Fill Out, directly inherited from top-of-the-range mixers. You can trigger them with millimetre precision, add a touch of Smooth Echo to create liquid transitions, or surprise yourself with Instant Scratch, which includes 4 ready-to-use samples even without software. This mix of standalone and integrated features offers total freedom, whether you're mixing at home or in front of an audience.

At the rear, the connectivity options are legion: phono, line and mic inputs, XLR and RCA master outputs, jack booth output, not forgetting the dual USB-B port for switching between 2 computers.
