Pioneer DJ - SLAB
The AlphaTheta SLAB is a controller designed to run Serato Studio with a speed and precision not possible with computer keyboards. Sensitive pads, a large multi-mode encoder and control zones inspired by professional players give a fully tactile approach to beat-making. It integrates immediately thanks to its USB-C, while remaining compatible with other DAWs.
Presentation
The transport area, designed with circular controls reminiscent of professional players, makes it easy to switch between creating and recording without interrupting the workflow. The large central dial acts as a versatile interface, capable of browsing, scrubbing or modifying parameters with a responsiveness approaching that of traditional hardware.
Modes assigned to the dial and encoders allow you to adjust EQ, Stems, FX and internal settings directly from the surface. With each action, the display and associated LEDs instantly reflect the changes, so there's no need to waste time checking the computer screen.
The 29 × 29 mm velocity-sensitive pads with adjustable aftertouch provide fine control for rhythmic playing, step sequencer programming or triggering effects. Their light feedback, synchronised with the Serato Studio interface, makes them easy to read both in the studio and on stage.
The SLAB includes a precise touch ribbon, useful for modelling filters, pitch or effect intensity with a fluid gesture.
The result is a compact but complete tool, capable of managing sampling, stems, instruments, automation and effects without relying on a mouse. It's ideal for both novice producers and advanced users looking for a fast, direct controller that works seamlessly with Serato Studio.
