Polyend - Loop

The Polyend Loop pedal is a looper that combines rhythmic creation, audio loops and arrangement in a single instrument.

Each of the 8 loop tracks can hold up to 54 seconds of audio in mono or stereo. The Forward, Reverse and Ping-Pong modes can be adjusted separately, with Varispeed or tempo-independent playback. Volume, gain and pan can also be fine-tuned on each track for precise musical construction.

The rhythm section comprises 4 drum tracks and a 16-step sequencer. Each Project contains 16 chained patterns, with over 15 controllable parameters per step. Editing directly from the hardware keeps the focus on the music, whilst offering enough depth to develop structured rhythms.

Over 500 kits, 350 rhythms, 2,000 drum samples and 180 loops make up the built-in library. The sources range from analogue machines to acoustic drums and electronic percussion. This sound library makes it easy to build varied rhythmic foundations without relying on a computer, with material suited to electronic compositions, instrumental accompaniments and performances built around sampling.

Polyend has added effects that give each track a dedicated processing space, with over 100 options covering reverb, delay, modulation, filters, saturation and panning. Their real-time control is ideal for sound sculpting as well as expressive variations during performance. The whole system maintains a straightforward approach, with no superfluous buttons to get lost in the mix, and processing capabilities that can alter the perception of loops and their place within the overall mix.

Loop’s project management capabilities organise tracks into scenes corresponding to musical sections such as the intro, verse, chorus, bridge or outro, with up to 1,000 storable configurations. Quantised changes at the end of the bar facilitate precise and consistent scene organisation. This architecture also allows you to prepare several musical states and then recall them with controlled rhythmic continuity. Whether for live performances or studio production, this system gives real prominence to the arrangement and preparation of the various musical parts.
