The range of monitors PreSonus Eris offers professional audio quality. They are lightweight, compact and as beautiful as the sound they deliver. But what really sets the price of comparable systems, are user controls that allow you to tailor the response of the speakers to your needs.
Speakers Eris are real studio monitors, providing a very precise answer with solid bass and very clear highs. With their Kevlar woofer, tweeter ultra-light silk dome, a reactive class AB amplifier and professional audio adjustment controls, they have it all. Of the two models in the range, you can easily find the Eris monitor that best suits your needs. Eris E5 Compact occupies less space and weighs less than 5 kg. Featuring 2 45W amplifiers (Boomer) and 35W (tweeter), he can cash a 102 dB SPL peak for a frequency response of 64 Hz to 22 kHz. For an extended low frequency response and a little more power, the Eris E8 has 2 75W amplifiers (Boomer) and 65W (tweeter), it can go down to 45 Hz. As E5, E8 may reach 22 kHz. With its extra juice, the E8 can deliver up to 105 dB SPL peak. Eris Both monitors have a front vent.

Today's music producers face a wide variety of musical genres. It is therefore essential to have controls that allow greater adaptability. The most basic command is the input gain, ie the definition of levels for each stage of the production chain to obtain a signal as clear as possible. The range offers 3 Eris EQ settings in the acoustic section Tuning: Cutoff High, Mid and Low. These controls allow you to fine tune the monitors depending on the environment or when using the E8 E5 or with a subwoofer. A 3-position switch, Acoustic Space hosts a second order shelving filter, it cuts 800 Hz (0 dB, -2 dB and -4 dB) to compensate for the bass boost that occurs when the monitor is placed near a wall or in a corner. This combination of controls allows you to create a linear response for precise monitoring. This allows you to simulate different listening environments, so you do not have to leave your studio for 'checker' your mixes on other alternative monitoring systems.

The Eris monitors offer protection against radio frequencies that could be induced in the signal, against overheating and limiting the output current (to avoid generating a short circuit on the speaker terminals). Moreover, subsonic protection filters the low frequency vibrations that could interfere with the performance of the woofer. Finally, Eris power amplifiers have a 'soft start' in order not to damage the speakers when the power is turned on.
