PRS - Silver Sky Frost

The PRS Silver Sky in Frost is a solidbody guitar that combines vintage charm with a modern twist. Designed in collaboration with legendary guitarist John Mayer, it incorporates the characteristics of '60s models while incorporating cutting-edge innovations.

With a familiar shape and an attractive cutaway, the Silver Sky instantly evokes classic guitars while offering today's handling and features.

The bolt-on maple neck, inspired by John Mayer's favorite vintage models, features a maple fingerboard with a 7.25-inch radius, 22 custom-profile frets, and a 25.5-inch scale length. This design provides smooth playability and comfort, especially for fans of classic styles.

The reverse headstock, inspired by the PRS style, is designed to provide better intonation and a uniform string length behind the nut for increased stability. The vintage-style tuners are closed and include a modern locking mechanism, combining old-school aesthetics with contemporary reliability.

Electronically, the Silver Sky is equipped with three single-coil pickups specially designed to reproduce the rich, crystal-clear tones of '60s guitars. These pickups produce sweet, musical highs without being harsh, while delivering warm, round mids and lows.

In addition, the middle positions are noise-free, and the precise values ​​of the electronic components guarantee remarkable consistency of tone and volume.

The tremolo is another highlight of this guitar. Inspired by classic models, it is enhanced with Gen III screws for stable tuning stability, and the threadless tremolo arm allows for easy adjustment of its position. At Mayer's request, the tremolo sits flat against the body of the guitar, providing smooth control of descending notes and enhancing the acoustic resonance of the instrument.

With its bone nut, cast metal jack plate and redesigned knobs, this PRS Silver Sky Frost combines classic aesthetics with modern performance, and comes with a dual-action truss rod for easy neck adjustment.
