The SGI Stereo RX is the passive receiver in Radial Engineering's SGI Stereo system. It receives an analogue stereo signal transmitted over a Cat5 or Cat6 cable and outputs it to two amplifiers while preserving the integrity of the original sound.

Presentation
The Radial Engineering SGI Stereo RX is designed to work in tandem with the SGI Stereo TX transmitter to solve the constraints associated with long distances between a pedalboard and amplifiers. When amplifiers are placed off-stage, in an isolated booth or in another room, the RX allows the stereo signal to be recovered without degradation, even over distances of up to 100 metres.
Entirely passive, the SGI Stereo RX requires no external power supply. It receives the balanced analogue signal via a standard Ethernet cable and converts it back into unbalanced instrument signals suitable for input to guitar amplifiers or similar amplification systems. This conversion is carried out using top-of-the-range Jensen transformers, which guarantee a stable frequency response, low distortion and excellent isolation from ground loops.
The RX incorporates practical tools for complex stereo configurations. A 180° polarity inverter on the left channel allows you to quickly correct phase problems between two amplifiers. Each channel also has its own ground lift switch, making it easy to eliminate hum in harsh electrical environments.
The SGI Stereo RX's robust design and lockable, etherCON-compatible RJ45 connector make it equally at home on large stages or in professional studios, providing a reliable, seamless solution for remote stereo installations.
