Rme - MADI 50cm Simplex
The RME MADI 50 cm Simplex provides a digital MADI audio link via fibre optic cable between two devices fitted with SC connectors. This 50 cm multimode optical MADI cable is suitable for short connections in professional audio environments and facilitates direct connection between MADI-compatible devices.
Presentation
The MADI standard, also known as AES10 (Multichannel Audio Digital Interface), is used to transmit multiple digital audio channels between a transmitter and a receiver. An optical MADI cable such as this model can therefore be used to connect audio interfaces, converters or other devices featuring a MADI input and output via optical fibre. It is suitable for recording studio set-ups and digital control rooms where equipment needs to communicate via this interface.
The Simplex version provides a unidirectional optical link: the signal travels from the transmitting equipment to the receiving device. It is therefore important to check the compatibility of the interfaces and the required transmission direction before selecting the cable.
Measuring 50 cm in length, the RME MADI 50cm Simplex meets the need for a short MADI fibre-optic cable for audio racks, where devices are installed close together. Its orange fibre, with a diameter of 2.5 mm, makes it easy to distinguish from other cables. The SC connectors ensure connection to compatible interfaces.
