Rme - Fireface UFX II
The RME Fireface UFX II is a professional 30-in/30-out USB audio/MIDI interface that integrates 4 Mic/Instrument preamps, 2x Midi IN/OUT, 8 Balanced Line Outputs and 8 Line inputs. Mac and PC compatible.
Presentation
With 60 audio channels (30 inputs and 30 outputs), 192 kHz compatibility, and the flexibility of USB connectivity, the new Fireface UFX II is an ideal solution for a wide range of applications, including recording, mixing and monitoring.
The Fireface UFX II offers excellent flexibility, allowing the interface to integrate easily into a wide range of production environments. Analogue, ADAT, AES, SPDIF, and USB 2 are standard on the Fireface UFX II. The channel count is also impressive: 12 analog, 16 ADAT, and 2 AES for a total of 30 input and 30 output channels. In addition, with USB 2 connectivity, the new Fireface UFX II can be paired with RME's optional ARC USB remote control.
The Fireface UFX II features premium AD/DA converters, optimized analog I/O circuits, and signal-to-noise and harmonic distortion characteristics for crystal-clear, transparent audio. A new padless mic circuit design supports a maximum input level of +18 dBu and a gain range of 75 dB, ideal for the most demanding recording situations.
Additionally, new high-level (2 Ohm) low-impedance headphone outputs with a maximum output level of +19 dBu provide ample power and volume for any type of headphone, whether high or low impedance.
The Fireface UFX II also includes DURec (Direct USB Recording), accessible on the front panel. DURec now integrates a second generation of hardware with improved USB features and compatibility, for more reliability, even with slow or multi-partitioned USB sticks.
The ARC USB connects to your computer via USB, and communicates directly with TotalMix FX. It has 15 freely assignable illuminated buttons, an encoder wheel, and a 6.35mm jack to connect a foot pedal. Once recognized by the operating system, TotalMix FX automatically detects the ARC USB, and communicates with the interfaces by simple MIDI remote control messages.

In some RME products, TotalMix FX also includes a complete effects system that not only adds flexibility to the recording chain, but also gives RME audio interfaces a decisive latency advantage over pure software solutions.
TotalMix FX can completely replace an external mixing console, allowing musicians to create multiple, latency-free monitor mixes with EQ, dynamics, reverb and delay on all outputs, including main or headphone outputs.
TotalMix FX for iPad™ (optional) adds full mixing console and DSP effects control to Fireface UFX+, UFX II, UFX, UCX, 802, Babyface, Babyface Pro and MADIface Pro when in Class Compliant mode. Complete mixes can then be created, saved and recalled from iPad.
