Rode's Stereo VideoMic X is a broadcast-quality stereo microphone for cameras or digital SLRs.
The microphone comprises a pair of matched 1/2-inch condenser capsules in a superimposed X-Y configuration. Each capsule has an individual Rycote Lyre suspension to provide extra isolation and prevent shock and vibration to the diaphragm.
Several sound adjustment options are located on the rear of the Rode SVMX: input level (-10dB or +20dB), high-pass filter (0/75/150Hz) and high-frequency boost, for improved speech intelligibility.
The Rode VideoMic X microphone is supplied with a shielded stereo cable on a 3.5mm mini-jack connector, but it also has professional-quality balanced XLR outputs.
With an all-metal casing, it is not only extremely robust but also offers excellent resistance to interference.
