The Tascam CA-XLR2d-N allows you to connect professional microphones to a Nikon mirrorless camera to capture high-quality stereo audio that is synchronised directly with the video. With its two XLR/jack combo inputs, high-performance preamps and built-in processing, it offers a comprehensive solution for video shoots, interviews, documentaries and audiovisual productions.
Presentation
Thanks to its digital audio transmission via the Nikon hot shoe, the signal is sent directly to the camera without any additional conversion, thereby minimising noise, distortion and post-production steps. The system also eliminates the need for manual resynchronisation between audio and video.
The CA-XLR2d-N features two XLR/6.35 mm TRS jack combo inputs that accept both microphone and line-level signals, as well as a 3.5 mm stereo mini-jack input compatible with lavalier microphones or other sources requiring plug-in power. The Tascam preamps incorporate switchable 48 V phantom power, a three-level attenuation control, a low-cut filter, a limiter and an Auto-Level function to ensure a stable recording level.
Its passive hot shoe on top also allows various accessories, such as a microphone, an RF receiver or a transmitter, to be attached without transmitting unwanted vibrations. It can be adapted to suit both mobile filming set-ups and more advanced installations thanks to its Camera and Headphone modes, its control cover and its battery or Nikon hot-shoe power supply.
