DAW Controllers

With the Roland Brisa, wind and technology meet in an instrument that captures the feel of a flute while opening up an infinite playground. This lightweight, elegant MIDI wind controller features a built-in display and intuitive controls that let you effortlessly navigate its 100 onboard sounds. The SuperNATURAL Winds sound engine, specially developed for wind instruments, captures every nuance of your breath and translates it into vivid sounds, whether you're playing concert flutes, saxophones, orchestral strings or even synths and percussion. Thanks to its dual breath-sensing system and built-in motion sensor, it lets you adapt your playing to your comfort level, expressing vibrato, pitch bend or modulation with a simple gesture of the body. Light, precise and inventive, the Roland Brisa is designed to be a creative breeze that blows directly into your musical world.

ARTICLE N° 111991
Imagine an instrument that follows your every breath as if you had a miniature orchestra connected directly to your lungs. The Roland Brisa's SuperNATURAL Winds engine instantly translates nuances of air into expressive notes. Each musical phrase maintains a fluid dynamic, as if you were conversing with the instrument itself.

Want to go from the delicacy of a piccolo to the warm, husky grain of a baritone sax in the middle of a song? The Roland Brisa comes with over 100 sounds ready to respond at a moment's notice, and you can add a further 14 timbres via Roland Cloud. And because there are no fixed rules, you can have fun calling up a clarinet, a pan flute or even a synth, all in a single instrument that adapts to your inspiration.

With its dual sensor system, the Roland Brisa reproduces the subtleties of acoustic playing while simplifying the mechanics: no need for a complex mouthpiece, you play directly by blowing. And if you switch to Flute mode, the octave is set naturally by redirecting your breath into one of the two openings, a trick that immediately gives you the feeling of having the acoustic instrument in your hand.

Ergonomics also means freedom: multiple fingerings (flute, sax, recorder, trumpet, or even one-handed playing) allow the Roland Brisa to adapt to your level and playing style. You can switch from the logic of a saxophonist to that of a trumpeter without recalibrating your brain, making learning as intuitive as a musical stroll.

And because music isn't just about notes, the Roland Brisa lets you enrich your playing with intelligent harmonies, a transposition function and even a motion sensor to trigger vibrato or modulation by moving your body. In short, your breath becomes an expressive control panel, combining digital precision with acoustic spontaneity.
