The Roland Pack Aira TR-8S Rhythm Performer + Case doesn't just re-enact the history of the rhythm box; it writes the modern chapter. And how does it do that? By combining legendary analogue warmth with advanced acoustic modelling tools.
When you switch on the Roland AIRA TR-8S, you activate a time machine. It contains the sonic signatures of the TR-808, 909, 606, 707 and 727, and doesn't just replay the past. The ACB engine restores the analogue warmth of the originals, while the new FM generator injects metallic textures and punchy bass. The MORPH FM controller lets you sculpt these timbres in real time, for creations that are all your own.
The 16-step sequencer is disconcertingly fast. You can programme patterns, alternate between 8 variations and trigger fills without interrupting the flow. With 11 instrument parts and dedicated trigger outputs, it can be integrated into a modular setup. The library includes 11 bass drum models and 15 toms, enough to build unique rhythms. The Scatter function adds a dose of controlled unpredictability to your performances.
The effects are an acoustic medicine chest. There are compressors, modulated reverbs, delays and bit crushers for each track, plus a master section with phaser and distortion. The sidechain effect on the external input allows for ducking, great for mixing an external bass. The v2.0 update adds the sounds of the CR-78 and the Chromatic Bass function, expanding the creative spectrum even further.
The CB-BTRMX case completes the bundle, guaranteeing the instrument's longevity. Its Ripstop nylon lining and thick foam absorbs shocks when transporting the instrument between studio and stage. The TR-8S is designed to be played, and this case ensures that it always arrives ready to deliver the groove!
