Roland - TD-07DMK2

The Roland TD-07DMK2 electronic drum kit is a complete set comprising 5 drums and 3 cymbals, designed for learning, regular practice and playing music at home. Its compact design closely resembles that of an acoustic drum kit, featuring a snare drum, 3 toms, a hi-hat, a crash cymbal and a ride cymbal. This layout helps players develop muscle memory and provides a solid foundation for gradually upgrading the kit.

The double-mesh heads on the PD-10H snare drum and the 3 PD-8H pads provide a natural rebound and a feel that closely matches that of an acoustic drum kit. The snare drum also supports rimshots and cross-sticks, which enriches your playing and allows you to practise various striking techniques with greater nuance.

The TD-07 module forms the sound centre of the system and provides access to 25 preset kits, 25 user slots and 143 instruments. The editing capabilities allow for in-depth sound adjustment, with equalisation, reverb and 30 multi-effects. This architecture thus offers genuine scope for customisation, enabling drummers to build set-ups tailored to their tastes, without reducing the instrument to a mere collection of ready-to-play sounds.

The CY-5 hi-hat delivers a dynamic response with smooth transitions between closed and open positions, as well as handling cymbal splashes. The crash and 10-inch ride cymbals also benefit from natural movement thanks to their mounting, giving the playing a response closer to the techniques used on an acoustic kit.

The KD-10 bass drum accommodates a single or double pedal and provides a sufficiently large surface area to practise different types of strikes. Its integration into a 4-post metal rack enhances the overall stability of the set. Several components are pre-assembled onto the frame, reducing the time spent on assembly and leaving more time for music.

The Roland TD-07 module also features an advanced metronome with adjustable time signature, note value and click tone. Its Coach mode offers interactive exercises focused on timing and precision, with different difficulty levels and progress tracking. The daily exercises also include ‘Blast Beast’, designed to develop speed and endurance. Together, these features create a structured learning environment for developing the fundamentals of drumming.

Bluetooth connectivity allows you to stream audio wirelessly from a smartphone, tablet or other compatible device, whilst transmitting MIDI data to music apps. The USB connection also extends the possibilities to a computer and music software, enabling the recording of audio and MIDI data. The kit thus becomes a meeting point between instrumental practice, musical accompaniment and digital production.
