Roland - TD-07KV2

The TD-07KV2 electronic drum kit, from Roland, comprises a set of 5 drums and 4 cymbals designed to help develop the basics with a layout similar to that of an acoustic drum kit. Its pads encourage precise technique, coordination and independence, whilst offering a comfortable and progressive playing experience.

The TD-07 module features 25 preset kits, 25 user kits and 143 instruments, with editing functions to adjust the sounds to suit musical requirements. The EQ, reverb and 30 multi-effects expand this palette, with plenty of parameters to create personalised set-ups tailored to different styles and playing habits.

The cymbal section promotes natural playing movements thanks to a dynamic hi-hat, smooth transitions between closed and open positions, and support for splash cymbals. The crash and ride cymbals also feature a natural oscillating motion, enhancing articulation and coordination across the entire kit. The snare drum also supports rimshots and cross-sticks to vary techniques and develop different forms of accentuation.

The Coach mode built into the TD-07 brings together a range of exercises focused on timing and precision, with different levels, interactive challenges and performance tracking. The built-in metronome includes settings for time signature, note value and click sound, helping to structure technical practice with precise reference points. Daily training sessions, including ‘Blast Beast’, also develop speed and stamina through a fun approach that keeps the exercises fresh and maintains structured progression throughout your musical practice.

The TD-07KV2 features a Bluetooth connection that allows wireless streaming from a smartphone, tablet or other compatible device, placing your personal tracks at the heart of the module. MIDI data can also be sent to music apps, and the USB connection enables audio and MIDI recording to music software on a computer.
