Preamps

The Portico 5024 by Rupert Neve Design is a 4-channel microphone preamp, based on the Class 5012's Class A transformers and circuit. Independent controls on each channel include: Silk, Low Cut Filter, Mute, Phase Inverter, Trim, gain, ground lift and phantom power. Channels 1 and 2 are configured as high impedance inputs for recording an instrument, while Channels 3 and 4 have Mid-Side decoding. The Portico 5024 uses the same Class A circuits and transformers as the 5012, limiting noise and distortion to a minimum.
