The SR-M3 is an incredibly affordable shotgun microphone that delivers broadcast-quality sound to DSLRs, video cameras and audio recorders, and offers a versatile range of useful features. It has an extra microphone input and a headphone output, so you can still hear your audio, even when your camera doesn't have a headphone socket. It also has +10dB amplification so you can reduce your camera's noisy preamp to capture cleaner sound and capture subjects further away.

The built-in bracket has a 1/4" camera stand thread that gives you even more mounting options, and the built-in shock mount isolates the mic from vibration.
A low-cut switch on the back of the SR-M3 makes dialogue more intelligible and eliminates distracting noises such as the low rumble of vehicles.
The SR-M3's headphone output is set at a comfortably high volume, and is probably louder and easier to hear than your camera's headphone jack.
A foam windscreen is included for indoor use, and for outdoor recording in strong winds you can use the M3-WS fur windscreen (sold separately).
