Where high tension imposes its law on the left hand, the normal tension of the 504R lets the finger sink into the string with less effort - the note comes out with the same presence, but the gesture costs less over the course of a session. This compromise between strength and flexibility is based on the high-crystallinity nylon core: a material with an ordered internal structure that vibrates evenly, resulting in a prolonged sustain that variable-crystallinity nylons can't reproduce with the same regularity.

The unground surface of the core retains the raw bond between the core and the silver wire - the winding remains integral to its support, without slipping under the stresses of repeated play. Laser diameter control monitors the regularity of the wire along its entire length: no bulges, no hollows, and therefore no dead spots along the vibrating length. The great flexibility that results from this assembly frees up the left hand, while the response to the attack remains clear and the increased volume of sound imposes itself without the string crushing the high notes.

The 504R covers three restocking contexts: Corum basses, New Cristal trebles and Savarez Alliance Fluorocarbon. Its red identification makes it easy to spot when it's time to replace a string, and its single-string logic makes it ideal for use as a fourth string on a classical guitar without overpowering the rest of the set.
