Zakk Wylde, born on 14 January 1967 in New Jersey, is an American guitarist, singer and songwriter renowned for his powerful playing and vibrato-driven solos. He is best known for being Ozzy Osbourne's lead guitarist from the late 1980s, succeeding Jake E. Lee. In 1998, he founded his own band, Black Label Society, mixing heavy metal with southern influences. At the same time, he has collaborated with numerous artists and launched solo projects, consolidating his status as an emblematic figure of modern metal.
