Schecter's Nikki Sixx Bass Satin Black LH features a mahogany body and maple/walnut through-body construction for a deep, powerful sound with impressive sustain. In addition to his role as bassist, he was also the band's main songwriter. Sixx also founded the band Sixx:A.M. and has written several books, including his autobiography The Heroin Diaries.
