Tascam - Enregistreur audio 64 pistes DA-6400 DP
The Tascam DA-6400 DP is a 64-track SSD audio recorder designed for broadcast, live production and studio use. It offers seamless integration with MADI, Dante, AES/EBU, redundant power supply, and advanced timecode and network sync control.
Presentation
One of the DA-6400 DP’s major assets is its redundant power supply, which ensures continuity of service in the event of a power supply failure. This safety system is crucial for live events, critical productions and long-term recordings.
Its compatibility with multiple audio interface formats (MADI, Dante, AES/EBU) makes it an extremely flexible solution. Thanks to its two audio interface card slots, it can act as a bridge between different systems: for example, it is possible to convert a Dante signal to MADI, or to use a combination of MADI/Dante and AES/EBU to record separate stems.
The DA-6400 DP is also ideal for productions requiring advanced timecode management. It features a high-precision internal clock (±1 ppm) and can function as a SMPTE timecode master. It also offers advanced synchronization via Wordclock/Videoclock (Blackburst PAL/NTSC and HDTV Tri-Level Sync), allowing seamless integration with professional video systems.
In terms of file control and management, the recorder supports FTP transfer via Gigabit Ethernet (1000BASE-T) and the editing of playlists and cue points directly from its interface. It can also be controlled remotely via RS-422 or Ethernet, integrating seamlessly into automated systems or networked setups.
Thanks to its compatibility with audio workstation software (Pro Tools, Nuendo, Pyramix, etc.), the DA-6400 DP can also function as a synchronized backup recorder. It is particularly popular for large live productions where backup recording is required in parallel with a main DAW system.
With its 1U rackmount format, its proprietary operating system ensuring optimum stability and its expansion possibilities via interface cards, the Tascam DA-6400 DP is a robust and scalable solution, suitable for studios, tours and fixed installations requiring a reliable and flexible recorder.
