Folk Electro Acoustic Guitar
The Taylor 917e Gold Label guitar is all about depth and power, with a Grand Pacific body designed for ample chords and a strong low end. Its torrefied Adirondack spruce top, combined with Honduran rosewood, creates a warm, mature sound, with harmonics that grow in volume as the guitar is played. Plugged in, the LR Baggs Element VTC electronics reproduce this natural character with precision, and the Gold Label British Cocoa hard case protects the instrument wherever it goes.

Presentation
The Taylor 917e Gold Label guitar is designed for musicians who want a wide, deep sound with real acoustic presence.
Its Grand Pacific body, inspired by dreadnoughts with rounded shoulders, promotes projection and gives chords a solid foundation. The torrefied Adirondack spruce top provides a generous response and an open character that's pleasant from the very first hours of playing. This wood supports strong attacks without hardening the sound, making it ideal for sustained rhythms. The Honduran rosewood back and sides enrich the spectrum with thick harmonics and a long sustain. The bass gains in fullness while remaining legible, even in busy arrangements.
The fanned V-Class bracing reinforces this sense of depth and extends the sustain of the notes throughout the neck. Chords remain coherent and accurate, even in the higher registers. The neo-tropical mahogany neck incorporates the Action Control Neck system, which allows the strings to be adjusted quickly without complex disassembly. This long-tenon construction improves contact between the neck and the body, which is reflected in the density of the lower end of the spectrum.
The West African Crelicam ebony fingerboard is pleasant to the touch and stable over time, ideal for long sessions. The Gotoh 510 action in antique gold finish, with ebony knobs, ensures precise, consistent tuning. Aesthetic details such as the ivory binding, paua purfling and Continental Deluxe inlays are reminiscent of more classically inspired acoustic instruments.
The LR Baggs Element VTC electronics capture the movement of the soundboard for a faithful amplified sound that can be used in concert. The whole set comes in a Gold Label British Cocoa hard case, ready to follow you into your sessions!
