Folk Electro Acoustic Guitar
The Taylor Gold Label 917e SB guitar is designed for guitarists who need an acoustic instrument capable of delivering deep bass and generous projection, for both rhythm and picking. Its torrefied Adirondack spruce top and Honduras rosewood back and sides create a dense, open sound, with rich harmonics and a truly mature feel. Live or in the studio, the LR Baggs Element VTC electronics give you that natural acoustic character once you've plugged them in.

Presentation
The Taylor Gold Label 917e SB guitar is aimed at gigging fans looking for an electro-acoustic guitar capable of filling the space with a full, stable and balanced sound. Its deeper-bodied Grand Pacific format generates a wide, powerful bass, while retaining warm, well-defined highs. You can count on this sonic response for folk, Americana, acoustic blues or rock accompaniment where the guitar really needs to carry the tune.
The torrefied Adirondack spruce top supports a clean attack without saturating the sound, and retains excellent legibility when you're playing hard. The torrefaction also gives the guitar a more open grain, with that 'already played' feel that many musicians appreciate in top-of-the-range guitars.
The Honduras rosewood back and sides are particularly dense, enhancing the depth of the bass and enriching the harmonics throughout the neck. Every chord gains in fullness, with the sound developing naturally after the attack.
Inside, the fan-shaped V-Class bracing increases volume, sustain and balance between notes, even in the lower positions. You'll feel greater consistency throughout the neck, useful for both open chord playing and melodic lines. The neo-tropical mahogany neck, combined with the Action Control Neck system, makes it easy to adjust the string height and adapt the guitar to your playing without any major intervention. The grip remains fluid and comfortable, ideal for long sessions.
When plugged in, the LR Baggs Element VTC electronics pick up vibrations from the soundboard and deliver a warm, detailed sound that's faithful to the instrument's acoustics. The woody character and natural dynamics are retained, whether you're playing live or recording. The Gotoh 510 tuning machines with antique gold finish and ebony knobs provide reliable tuning stability and a top-of-the-range feel.
The guitar is delivered in a rigid Gold Label case with a British Cocoa finish, designed to provide effective protection for a guitar of this level!
