Presentation
The Taylor 814ce Next Generation guitar features an Adirondack spruce top and Indian rosewood back and sides, a combination that delivers controlled power, clear highs and warm lows, with a harmonic richness that extends naturally into the space.
Thanks to the scalloped V-Class bracing, the notes are projected more fully and held more securely along the entire length of the neck. This internal structure stabilises tuning, supports intonation and promotes appreciable sonic continuity, even when playing more energetically or rhythmically.
The neo-tropical mahogany neck of the 814ce Next Generation guitar incorporates the Action Control Neck system, a design that makes it easy to adjust string height without the need for heavy intervention. This approach improves consistency of touch, reduces left-hand fatigue and ensures consistent playability, whatever the weather or the intensity of your day-to-day playing.
With its bevelled cutaway, Taylor moves smoothly with your left hand in the high registers. The body-stem junction remains accessible, which supports extended melodic phrases and encourages a more natural posture during technical passages or complex chords at the top of the neck.
The Claria pickup system built into the Taylor 814ce Next Generation transmits a faithful reproduction of the acoustic timbre once plugged in. Controls positioned in the soundhole simplify quick adjustments and maintain a streamlined aesthetic. These electronics support a homogeneous diffusion, with stable dynamics and a coherent response on stage or in rehearsal.
The black Blacktop finish combined with the gloss varnish developed by Taylor emphasises the lines of the Grand Auditorium format. The discreet inlays, aged gold finish Gotoh 510 mechanics and contrasting binding reinforce the visual balance of the instrument. This aesthetic ensemble remains legible under artificial lighting and retains a visual coherence that lasts with daily use, without unnecessary decorative overload.
