Torso Electronics - Pack S4 Black + Case + Cover

The S4 pack, by Torso Electronics, combines a stereo granular sampler with a hard case and a dedicated cover.

The S4’s four parallel stereo tracks allow you to build multiple layers of sound simultaneously, with five audio devices on each track. This architecture opens up a wide range of possibilities for sound design, electronic textures and sample-based compositions. The 8-voice polyphonic sampler also supports MIDI control for extensive musical integration.

Torso Electronics has included a modulation effect that provides continuous evolution in processing, thanks to four modulators available on each track. LFOs, envelopes, random modulation and envelope followers can be applied to any parameter. This setup allows you to create progressive movements, irregular variations or rhythmic changes, with an approach flexible enough to work with both pad sounds and highly dynamic textures.

The Perform page features 12 macros for direct control of parameters, with 8 sliders and 4 instant-effect buttons. The 128 scenes store complete sets of parameters and samples, making it easy to prepare distinct set-ups for different musical parts. MIDI Programme Change compatibility also expands the possibilities for integration with other MIDI equipment, enabling the creation of a more extensive production or performance environment without requiring additional manipulation of the instrument itself.

The S4 from Torso Electronics features stereo processing throughout the audio chain, with a 48-band resonant filter, several classic models and morphing modes. The Colour section adds dual-band distortion, bit-reduction, compression and noise to gradually alter the character of the samples.

The Space section provides stereo delay, reverb and a freeze function to manipulate depth, duration and the sense of movement. The 4-channel stereo mixer adds filters inspired by DJ decks, as well as a master compressor. This combination allows you to organise a coherent final mix, with capabilities tailored to electronic music production and live performance.

The S4 Carry Case provides rigid protection with a polyurethane outer shell, EVA foam padding and a zip fastening. Its matt black finish and weight of 300 g make it easy to carry without adding unnecessary bulk.

The transparent polycarbonate S4 Cover, designed by Decksaver in the UK, protects the equipment from dust, dirt, liquids and impacts, whilst maintaining access to the connections. This cover is particularly suitable for storing the S4 whilst it is installed on a production rig between uses.
