Presentation
The Torso Electronics S4 Black is a granular stereo sampler designed for experimental producers and live performances. It features four independent stereo tracks, each with a complete processing chain for loading, recording and transforming sounds in depth.
Each track has five modules: Material for polyphonic sampling and overdub, Granular for grain manipulation, Filter with resonant filter bank, Color for saturation and dynamic processing, and Space for stereo delays and reverbs. This architecture allows you to move quickly from ambient textures to complex rhythmic transformations.
The modulation system offers four modulators per track, including LFOs, envelopes, random generators and envelope followers. All parameters can be modulated, enabling the creation of dynamic, evolving patches. The Perform page adds 12 assignable macros for expressive real-time control.
The S4 also features 128 scenes for instant storage of parameters and samples. A four-channel stereo mixer with DJ-style filters and master compressor allows performances to be finalised directly in the device.
