The Jan Ray is a highly sophisticated and nuanced overdrive pedal that has been created to reproduce the punchy sound of the Fender Blackface amps of the 60s, often referred to as the Fender Magic 6" sound. This is because many musicians prefer the sound of these amps, especially when their controls are set like this: Volume at 6, Treble at 6, Middle at 3 and Bass at 2.

The Jan Ray gives you a sound with bite and warm bass, soft mids at high settings and overall a superb palette of bright and saturated sounds.
The controls are, from top to bottom and left to right, Volume, Gain, Bass and Treble.
An additional Saturation control is located at the rear of the Jan Ray and can be adjusted with the included mini screwdriver.
This setting allows even finer control of saturation, resulting in an even richer, more saturated overdrive.
Like all Vemuram pedals, the Jan Ray has a magnificent copper casing that also acts as protection against extraneous noise.
