Presentation
The Waldorf Streichfett is a combination of the best string synth sounds of the 70s and early 80s that are no longer to be found today.
The Streichfett's dual audio engine includes a polyphonic string section and an eight-voice solo section, essential for recapturing the ambience of classic films from the 70s and 80s.
Waldorf has succeeded in simplifying the interface as much as possible for users, while the controls are rather complex, allowing you to play rich, thick and smooth pads.

Created by the former distributor of the PPG brand between 1975 and 1987, the Waldorf brand was launched in 1988. The Microwave was the first Waldorf synthesiser to be based on a wavetable concept, and was soon a huge success, as were all the models that followed: Microwave II, Microwave XT.
The ensemble effect provides depth and movement to the string section, while the effects section adds adjustable phaser and reverb functions. In addition, the Animate effect can be used to modulate the recording of the strings, enabling spectacular sonic transformations.
The solo section shift presets named Bass, E-Piano or Clavi, and like your classic string machine, the sound has little to do with the name. Instead, there are shimmering, slightly percussive sounds that blend well with the string section.
