Wampler - Plexi Drive Mini Overdrive/Boost

The Wampler Plexi Drive Mini Overdrive/Boost takes up the spirit of the Plexi circuits by integrating them into a reduced format, while retaining a gain structure based on a FET circuit. The result is an amp-like response, with progressive saturation and good articulation.

The gain control covers a wide range, from a slight crunch to more pronounced saturation, suitable for rock and derivative registers. The tone control adjusts the overall balance of the signal, while the volume is used to position the pedal as a main overdrive or as a boost.

Two switches complete the range of settings. The Mid Boost acts on several gain stages to boost midrange presence and thicken the signal. The Bass Boost modifies the response at the bottom end of the spectrum to simulate different cabinet configurations, adding more depth depending on the context.

This combination allows the pedal to be adapted to different types of set-up, either upstream of an amp or as a complement to other overdrive pedals. Its compact size makes it easy to fit onto a pedalboard, while retaining essential controls.
