Wampler - Tumnus Deluxe Overdrive

The Wampler Tumnus Deluxe Overdrive takes the basics of the Tumnus circuit and offers an enhanced version, with more adjustment possibilities and finer adaptation to different setups. The aim remains the same: to maintain a natural dynamic response while offering greater control over the signal.

This version incorporates three-band active equalisation, with bass, midrange and treble controls. This allows the sound colour to be fine-tuned according to the amp, guitar or position in the effects chain. Gain behaviour remains progressive, ranging from a slight transparent boost to denser saturation.

A switch lets you select between buffered and true bypass operation. The built-in buffer can help maintain signal integrity in complex configurations, while true bypass is ideal for those who prefer a direct signal path.

The pedal also features a Normal/Hot mode, which acts on the gain structure to provide extra headroom when the level is pushed. This function expands the possibilities, particularly for obtaining textures that are more akin to heavy saturation.

With its top-mounted connectors, its format is compatible with integration on a pedalboard without any particular constraints. It can be used as a main overdrive, a boost or a signal shaping tool.
