In a fixed installation, aesthetics are often just as important as sound performance. The WORK Athos 8R White has been specifically developed to meet both these requirements. Its white finish makes it easy to integrate into places of worship, schools, hotels, restaurants, retail spaces, covered terraces or public buildings, whilst maintaining a discreet presence.

Its next-generation polymer enclosure, specially designed to withstand harsh weather conditions, represents a significant improvement on older fibreglass designs.

This passive loudspeaker delivers 150 W RMS (300 W programme) into 8 ohms and can also operate on 70 V and 100 V distribution networks, thereby simplifying the sound reinforcement of large installations. Its 8-inch driver, combined with a 1-inch compression driver fitted with a polymer ring diaphragm, ensures clear reproduction of both speech and music.

With a sensitivity of 96 dB, a maximum sound pressure level of 124 dB SPL and a coverage pattern of 80° x 80°, it offers uniform sound dispersion capable of effectively covering a large area without the need for an excessive number of speakers.

The Athos 8R White has an IP54 rating, protecting it against dust and water splashes. Its metal grille, lined with water-repellent fabric, helps protect the components whilst maintaining acoustic performance. Supplied with its U-shaped wall bracket, it can be easily adjusted during installation.

For specific mounting requirements, the optional SPB 20 and SPB 22 brackets further expand the installation options.
