Presentation
The Yamaha DXS18 subwoofer has been developed as the ideal complement to the DSR, DXR and DBR ranges, offering low frequencies without compromising on high power and definition. Powered by a 1020W Class D amplifier, the 18" driver housed in a robust band-pass enclosure can deliver a maximum SPL of 136dB, down to 32Hz, with exceptional clarity and minimal distortion. What's more, a cardioid mode makes it possible to couple several DXS18s together effectively. With Yamaha's award-winning DSP providing protection and dynamic management, the DXS18 offers a powerful, high-quality and reliable solution for sound engineers, DJs and bass-conscious musicians.

The DXS subwoofers use a new band-pass design that delivers an impressive SPL while drastically reducing distortion. These subwoofers feature a high-power woofer with superior damping, producing a very clear and accurate sound, thanks to a Class D amplifier. Yamaha has integrated DSP technology to ensure high-precision tuning with the midrange/treble speakers. The D-XSUB processing generated by the DSP has three modes: NORMAL, BOOST or XTENDED LF. NORMAL mode provides a perfect low-frequency response, BOOST mode increases the level of the low-frequency response and XTENDED LF mode extends the frequency response at the bottom end of the spectrum.
