Yamaha - GC42S
The GC42S is a classic guitar from the Grand Concert series, handcrafted in Japan and distinguished by the use of top quality solid woods, including a spruce top and Madagascar rosewood back and sides for a rich, powerful sound. It is designed with particular attention to playability, including an African mahogany neck and ebony fingerboard, and its internal bracing has been improved for increased volume and deeper bass. With a glossy polyester finish on the body and a matt finish on the neck for optimum comfort, it includes gold-plated YTM-81 tuners and bone saddles for improved vibration transmission.
Presentation
Its solid European spruce top responds with remarkable clarity, while the solid Madagascar rosewood back and sides enrich the projection and add depth to the timbre. With its 650 mm pitch, each note unfolds with balance, providing a homogenous sound spectrum across the entire neck. The gold-plated YTM-81 tuning machines guarantee reliable tuning, even in intensive use.
Aesthetic details such as the rosewood and wood binding, the inlaid rosette and the high-gloss finish bear witness to the special care taken in the construction of the instrument, without compromising its natural resonance.
Fitted with Yamaha S10 strings, balanced between treble and bass, the GC42S lets you explore expressive playing, from the most traditional classical to the most personal interpretations. Supplied with a reinforced carry bag, it's ready to accompany you on stage or in the studio, in all your musical explorations.
