Developed with Steve Gadd, Yamaha's RBJAZZSFG Recording Custom Jazz Surf Green 18" 4-drum kit (18 "x14", 10 "x7", 12 "x8", 14 "x13") in Surf Green finish features 100% North American birch 6-ply drums for a clean, powerful sound in the studio. The 30-degree bevels and weighted high-tension tie rods ensure fast response and optimum sustain, while eliminating unwanted noise, making it easy to set up for any style.
Presentation
The 6-ply American birch drums offer a remarkable balance between attack and clarity. Their 30° chamfer ensures clean contact with the skin, giving a fast, well-controlled response. The heavier shells prolong sustain and accentuate note definition, while the 1.6 mm triple-flange hoops in chromed steel guarantee stability and accuracy.
Remo US Coated Ambassador skins and Remo PS3 on the bass drum ensure a homogenous sound texture, with a good balance between warmth and precision. Yamaha's signature YESS system frees up the resonance of the drums while maintaining a solid mount. With its Surf Green colour and chrome hardware, this 4-drum set brings a lively, retro feel to any jazz or fusion session.
