Designed for the nomadic musician without neglecting the quality that has made Yamaha instruments so successful, the Silent Guitar will surprise you with its comfort and its surprising possibilities on stage and in the studio. This unique concept offers all guitarists a unique experience. With a thinner neck profile and lower action, the SLG200S offers a unique approach to classical guitar and the feel of a Folk guitar. Now equipped with the high-performance SRT system, the SLG200 range offers incredible acoustic performance.
Presentation
The Yamaha SLG200S II adopts a dreadnought format, guaranteeing ample sound projection and rich resonance. The body is made from mahogany, a wood known for its tonal warmth, and features removable rosewood and maple sides, adding both aesthetics and functionality. The neck, also made of mahogany, with a satin finish, offers a comfortable and fast playing feel. The rosewood fingerboard, with a radius of 400 mm (15.75") and 22 frets, allows for smooth and precise playability, ideal for chords and solos.
The scale length of 635 mm (25") and nut width of 43 mm (1.687") ensure optimal string tension and maximum playing comfort. The saddles, made of Urea material, contribute to tuning stability and sound clarity. The rosewood bridge and 11mm string spacing provide even distribution of string vibrations.
Equipped with the SRT Powered preamp, the SLG200S II offers natural and rich amplification, faithfully reproducing acoustic sound. SRT pickups, combined with volume, bass and treble controls, and the SRT Blend mixer, allow you to precisely sculpt the sound you want. Built-in effects, such as Reverb1, Reverb2 and Chorus, add an extra dimension to your playing. The built-in chromatic tuner ensures tuning precision at all times.
Connections include a Line OUT (6.35mm jack), a headphone output (3.5mm mini jack) and an AUX IN (3.5mm mini jack), providing great flexibility for live performances and recording sessions. The guitar can be powered by a DC power adapter (sold separately) or by two 1.5V AA batteries, ensuring convenient battery life for travel.
Delivered with Yamaha FS50BT light (012/052) strings, the SLG200S II is ready to play right out of the box. The Trans Black finish, with a gloss varnish on the body and a black pickguard, gives it an elegant and modern look. A gig bag is also provided, offering optimal protection when traveling.
