The Yellowtec iXm Premium YT5011 Omnidirectional Electret Mic Head allows the sound pickup of an iXm recording microphone to be adapted to quiet environments. This interchangeable head uses the TOTO mechanism for quick replacement and offers an omnidirectional polar pattern that also picks up some ambient sound.
Its dark grey metal construction is suitable for regular use in the field, whilst the iXm’s high-pass filter and LEA processing help to balance levels and frequencies. The PREMIUM electret capsule is designed to capture the lowest sound pressure levels and offers increased sensitivity in the high-frequency ranges.
It is particularly suitable for discussions in conference rooms or voice recordings in an office. Compatible with the iXm windscreen, it can be swapped in a matter of seconds to adjust the recording setup as required.
The YT5011 is supplied as a microphone capsule only and must be paired separately with a compatible iXm recording microphone. This design allows you to keep the same microphone whilst quickly adapting its configuration, offering a solution specifically designed for speech, interviews and voice recordings in quiet environments, as well as for conferences.
