Designed for sound recording in noisy environments, the Yellowtec iXm Premium Head YT5031 supercardioid electret microphone allows you to quickly adapt your iXm thanks to the TOTO Twist-Off-Twist-On mechanism. Its supercardioid polar pattern is ideal for interviews conducted at major events, particularly sporting events, motor races or concerts, where background noise levels are particularly high.

The PREMIUM electret capsule is designed to pick up the lowest sound pressure levels and offers increased sensitivity in the higher frequency ranges, resulting in a clearer recording in the main sound source area. As it is interchangeable, the microphone’s polar pattern can be changed in a matter of seconds to suit the conditions on site. Its robust metal construction withstands changes in configuration.

All iXm capsules are compatible with the iXm windscreen, allowing this accessory to be used with this capsule. The iXm’s high-pass filter prevents the proximity effect common to directional microphones.

This capsule provides a solution for adapting the iXm’s sound pickup when the environment requires a supercardioid polar pattern. The iXm recording microphone must be selected separately. The YT5031 model belongs to the PREMIUM electret range and is the go-to supercardioid option for on-site use.
