The Zildjian Z Custom 19" Crash takes the spirit of the series even further, with a wider, more imposing crash that's clearly designed for high-volume configurations. From the very first strokes, the cymbal develops a significant opening, with a wide diffusion that quickly fills the sound space without losing its cutting edge.
Its 19-inch diameter provides more body and depth than more compact models. The sustain is fuller, which works particularly well in heavy passages, open refrains or the massive breaks typical of modern metal and hardcore. Despite its size, the medium-weight design retains a fairly responsive feel under the sticks.
The brilliant character of the Z Custom series is still very much present, with an aggressive attack that easily cuts through walls of saturated guitars and big rhythm sections. This cymbal retains its clarity even when the volume is turned way up on stage.
Visually, the glossy finish and star-shaped hammering are immediately reminiscent of the original Z Custom cymbals from the 90s. This new version retains that strong visual identity while delivering a more balanced and musical feel in the overall response.
