The Zildjian Z Custom 17" Crash is back with an identity that's as direct as ever: volume, impact and projection designed for situations where the drums need to remain in the foreground. Relaunched 30 years after the arrival of the original series, this new generation retains the spirit of the old Z Custom while offering a more musical response that's more pleasant under the sticks.
With its 17-inch diameter and medium weight, this crash reacts quickly with a very clean attack. The sound is bright, powerful and explosive, with a clean cut-off that helps the cymbal stand out clearly in saturated styles and big live set-ups. Even in a wall of guitars, it retains its presence without becoming muddled.
The hammered star pattern and gloss finish echo the iconic aesthetic of the series. Both visually and sonically, it fully embraces its aggressive, energetic character.
