Meet the Ashdown Stuart Zender Funk Face VU bass wah pedal, new for September 2023, co-designed with Jamiroquai’s talented Stuart Zender. This pedalboard features two dynamic filters that replicate the funky basslines of “Virtual Insanity.” With three knobs and two switches, you can easily adjust the sensitivity and intensity of the sound. The ‘Valve’ switch adds rich harmonies. The Wah effect is foot-activated. It requires a 9v power supply with 45mA (negative center pole).

Stuart Zender's Ashdown Funk Face VU pedal stands out for its simplicity and efficiency thanks to its intuitive layout. It includes three buttons and two switches.
Designed for bass players, it makes it easy to manage funk moments thanks to its rotary 'Sensitivity' control. This pickup allows you to shape the exact response of the effects. With the 'Output' button, you can adjust the output level to your preference. By combining these two settings, you can obtain subtle filtering or a reactive Auto Wah.
The emulated 'Valve' distortion switch is foot-selectable. It naturally enriches the harmonics of the pedal. The Wah effect is also controllable by a footswitch. A switch placed on the right side of this model allows you to choose whether the tube overdrive is applied before or after the wah.
This reference has a real true bypass for an absence of coloration of the input signal when the pedal is not in use. The output level control adjusts the balance between the effect and the true bypass level. It also serves as a clean level boost when the Wah is not activated.
It requires a 9V power supply with a current of 45mA and a center pin negative connector (power supply not included). It has Jack inputs and outputs. It benefits from analog technology, with a sleek black design. Signed by Stuart Zender of Jamiroquai, it is ideal for adding groove to your sound.
