The Thorn Soundlabs The FreaQ pedal is a flexible, two-stage analogue booster designed to add punch and clarity to guitar tone. The Damping, Gain, Boost and Freq controls allow you to sculpt the tone and precisely target certain frequencies. The 2 footswitches activate the boost and frequency range separately, offering complete customisation.

Presentation
The Thorn Soundlabs The FreaQ pedal is a 2-stage booster offering advanced tonal control for guitarists. The first stage acts as a linear boost up to +20dB, while the second stage allows you to target a specific frequency between 300Hz and 3.4kHz.
The Damping control adjusts the amount of low frequencies sent to the circuit, ensuring a tight, responsive low end or a more open sound depending on the setting. The Gain and Freq of the second stage allow the selected frequency to be increased or decreased, giving a wide range of sonic textures.
The Boost control adjusts the overall level of the signal sent to the amplifier, and can push a tube preamp into overdrive. Separate footswitches enable the main boost and frequency range to be activated independently.
The pedal operates in True Bypass mode, preserving the signal when deactivated. It has 6.35 mm mono jack inputs and outputs and a 9-18 V DC power supply, with no battery option. Compact and lightweight, it measures 94 x 123.5 x 53 mm and weighs 370 g, making it easy to fit on a pedalboard.
The all-analogue circuitry ensures a natural, musical response. Users can get everything from a subtle boost to a very live effect. LEDs indicate boost and freq status for immediate visual control.
The pedal is ideal for use in combination with other effects or directly with a tube amp. It can be used to adjust the tonal character before distortion or overdrive, or simply to bring the volume forward in a mix. With its 2 stages and precise frequency control, The FreaQ opens up new creative possibilities for playing and musical expression.
