Presentation
The Avantone Pro CLA-400 studio reference amplifier offers wide dynamic bandwidth, high efficiency and high resolution. It is a Class A/B amplifier with a classic design reminiscent of traditional studio equipment. Featuring generous VU meters, high-end Japanese components and a robust toroidal transformer linear power supply, the CLA-400 adopts a classic bipolar transistor design for its bass amplifier section.
Housed in a standard 3U rack-mount chassis, this model is capable of producing over 400 watts per channel into an 8 ohm load, making it an ideal choice for medium to large loudspeakers in a studio environment. The CLA-400 is also designed for quiet, fanless operation, allowing it to be used in close proximity to monitors.
Although designed in partnership with CLA-10 studio monitors, the CLA-400 is compatible with a variety of demanding loudspeaker loads. It stands out for its very low distortion, its consistent performance even under demanding conditions and its ability to reproduce clear, transparent sound. These features make it an obvious choice for demanding studios looking for a wide dynamic range.
