Sound Processing System
The Dante integration adds an Ethernet audio link to the Falcon, capable of carrying four stereo channels, split between two inputs and two outputs. Each stream has its own level control and sample rate conversion, making it easier to integrate the processor into an IP audio infrastructure.

Presentation
The Dante option transforms the network connectivity of an Axel Technology Falcon processor into a fully-fledged audio-over-IP interface. It enables audio signals to be exchanged directly with other Dante-compatible equipment on the network, without the need for multiple physical audio connections between the various components in the system.
The card provides 2 stereo inputs and 2 stereo outputs, giving a total of four stereo streams that can be utilised via an Ethernet connection. This architecture is particularly well-suited to installations in which the Falcon needs to receive programmes or sources from the network, whilst simultaneously sending processed signals to other digital equipment.
Each input and output has independent level control, allowing the audio levels to be precisely adjusted to suit the rest of the installation. The option also includes dedicated sample rate conversion, which is particularly useful when several digital devices operate at different sample rates. This makes it easier to integrate the Falcon into a system where multiple digital formats or sources coexist.
Compatibility is not limited to the Dante protocol. The option also supports AES67 and SMPTE ST 2110-30, two key standards in professional audio-over-IP environments. This versatility broadens the Falcon’s integration possibilities within modern broadcast infrastructures and facilitates its integration with various network devices.
