B&C Speakers - 12CXT 8 Ohm Coaxial

The B&C Speakers 12CXT 8 Ohm is a coaxial speaker with a 12-inch low-frequency transducer and a high-frequency motor, optimized to provide a homogeneous response across the entire sound spectrum.
The choice of a ceramic magnet guarantees stable magnetic control, while the cone benefits from a waterproof treatment on the front panel for greater resistance and precision.

The LF section is based on a 2-inch copper voice coil that supports an AES power of 200 W with a sensitivity level of 98 dB at 1 W/1 m. With a resonance frequency of 49 Hz and a Qts of 0.32, this speaker is designed for efficient integration in bass-reflex loads, guaranteeing good power handling and controlled extension in the low frequencies.

The HF motor, meanwhile, uses a 1.4-inch aluminum voice coil, coupled with a Mylar diaphragm, a material offering detailed reproduction and good mechanical resistance while limiting distortion phenomena.
This high-frequency section delivers 50 W AES power with a sensitivity of 102 dB, ensuring excellent coupling with the LF section for balanced reproduction.

Thanks to its coaxial design, the 12CXT 8 Ohm guarantees optimal acoustic phase, reducing problems related to time lags between registers. In addition, its reasonable size and weight of 5.3 kg make it a relevant choice for compact systems requiring wide frequency coverage with good directivity.
