B&C Speakers - 12FW88 8 Ohm

The 12FW88 8 Ohm from B&C Speakers is part of a generation of loudspeakers designed to offer even more possibilities in a compact package.

This is a 12-inch model, designed for two-way configurations where low-midrange and midrange performance must not be compromised.

This woofer is based on an 88mm aluminium voice coil, a generous diameter that provides better heat dissipation and power handling, with 700W AES on tap.

Efficiency is also high, with a sensitivity of 97 dB, a guarantee of appreciable effectiveness even with moderate power.

At the rear is a compact but robust high-density ferrite magnet, complemented by an aluminium demodulation ring to limit distortion in the mid-range frequencies.

The mechanical design is equally meticulous: triple suspension, double silicone spider, and a membrane treated on the surface to resist humidity (WP Waterproof Front Side treatment).

In terms of frequency response, the 12FW88 covers a range from 50 to 3000 Hz, making it a good candidate for the low-midrange or as the main woofer in a two-way speaker. It's also designed to take a beating thanks to an 8 mm Xmax, perfectly managed thanks to the ventilated motor design.

All this is integrated into a robust chassis, optimised to limit the volume occupied internally, with a recommended volume of around 40 dm³, tuned to 65 Hz.
