The 15FW76 4 Ohm is a solid option in the category of 15-inch speakers designed to handle power while maintaining a clean, controlled response.

Its compact design, efficient performance and well-dimensioned mechanical capabilities make it a good candidate for two-way full-range systems, subwoofers or powerful returns.

The loudspeaker is based around a 3-inch voice coil wound on a fibreglass support, well ventilated and capable of handling 500 W AES continuously (up to 1000 W in programme).

The ferrite motor, combined with an aluminium bowl, guarantees a stable, heat-resistant structure. The overall sensitivity is rated at 100dB, providing excellent output without having to push the amplification too hard.

What's particularly interesting about this model is its balance: a resonant frequency of 42 Hz, a low Qts (0.17) and a linear excursion of ±7 mm, all of which enable convincing results to be obtained with a reasonable load volume.

A load of 100 to 120 litres tuned around 50 Hz makes the most of its bass response, while retaining good articulation in the upper bass and lower midrange.

The integration of an aluminium demodulation ring improves impedance stability and reduces distortion in the midrange, making filtering easier. The diaphragm, supported by a wide suspension and robust spider, ensures a smooth response up to 2000 Hz.

It's a reliable, responsive transducer, and quite flexible in its use, particularly in systems where efficiency and compactness are required.
