Crossover
The B&C Speakers FBCXN88 is a passive crossover specially developed for 12CXN88, 14CXN88 and 15CXN88 coaxial loudspeakers, as well as for designs based on the CX14. It provides reliable, balanced channel separation, optimised for direct integration into professional coaxial systems.

Presentation
The FBCXN88 is a passive crossover network designed by B&C Speakers to meet the specific requirements of the CXN88 series of coaxial loudspeakers. Unlike universal crossovers, this crossover is designed as a natural extension of the transducer, with precisely adjusted parameters to ensure a smooth transition between the bass/midrange section and the integrated compression driver.
Operating on a two-way architecture, the FBCXN88 provides a cut-off at 1.6 kHz, a frequency chosen to offer an optimum balance between power handling, phase coherence and directivity control. The differentiated 18dB/octave and 12dB/octave filtering slopes preserve musicality while limiting excessive overlap between channels, contributing to more legible and stable reproduction across the entire useful spectrum.
Designed for a nominal impedance of 8 ohms, this crossover integrates naturally into professional coaxial loudspeakers without requiring complex adaptation of the electrical network. It is a reliable solution for loudspeaker manufacturers, integrators and system designers looking for a proven, repeatable approach.
The circuit is mounted on a robust PCB with five 6 mm fixing points, making it easy to install securely in compact loads or loads subject to high mechanical stress, whether in mobile sound systems or fixed installations. Its format enables it to be integrated neatly inside loudspeakers, while remaining easily accessible for assembly and maintenance.
