Black Lion's Revolution Clock XC is much more than just a master clock: it's the result of years of research and development in the field of digital synchronisation.
Thanks to the integration of Macro-MMC (the brand's own technology) and Suspended Oscillation, this external clock boasts exceptional synchronisation performance, with jitter of just 0.5 picoseconds RMS on its BNC outputs. To date, it's the most accurate clock ever designed by Black Lion.
Designed for the most complex studio set-ups, the Revolution Clock XC offers up to 14 outputs in total, divided into eight BNC, two AES/EBU, two S/PDIF RCA and two optical ADAT. This comprehensive range of connections enables a stable clock signal to be distributed to a wide range of digital equipment, whatever their input format. It also accepts an external clock signal via a BNC input.
One of the major innovations is the use of MEMS oscillators, which are less sensitive to thermal variations than conventional crystals. Coupled with a custom-designed Sorbothane-based mechanical suspension system, these oscillators are protected against vibration - an essential detail in recording environments where low frequencies can compromise clock stability.
The Revolution Clock XC allows simple selection of clock frequencies from 44.1 kHz to 384 kHz, directly from its encoder. A locking function prevents accidental frequency changes, ensuring maximum security once your system is up and running.
Designed for professional studios, Revolution Clock XC improves spatial coherence, transient accuracy and the overall quality of digital processing. It provides your set-up with a reliable synchronisation base, whatever the complexity and size of your installation.
