Everyone from Eddie Van Halen to East Bay Ray of the Dead Kennedys have relied on the EP-3 preamp to take their sound to previously unattainable heights. And now you can too, with the Epoch Boost. The Epoch Boost uses the same internal circuitry as a real EP-3, NOS Orange Drop capacitors in the output mixing stage that act as a rudimentary frequency selector. Internal voltage rises to 22 volts, just like in the original EP-3, giving you unrivalled headroom and clarity. It also has a switchable Hi-Z input buffer if you want to use the Epoch Boost as your only pedal. The Boost control only gives you the EP-3 tone when it's switched off, but adds up to 20dB of crystal-clear amplification when you switch it on.
